At Grant Thornton UK and International we have a strong partnership with EMCC for all our coaching, mentoring, supervision and leadership development. We believe in professionalising coaching in our global organisation which quality assures our firm in further developing a strong coaching culture, and to have question led conversations with colleagues, talent, clients and the communities we work in. Our partnership with EMCC has promoted an agile and business focused way of accrediting our internal coach development programme/s and seeking new ways of developing coaching throughout our people’s career journey. Being a reflective practitioner and having quality supervision is central to our people developing and growing as coaches, and EMCC aligns with our requirements in this space. We have partnered with EMCC to realise our global vision of professionalising coaching and creating a strong coaching culture that secures our place in tomorrow’s world.
We first developed our Grant Thornton Coach Development Programme in the UK and now have over 150 certified coaches in our UK internal coaching pool. This programme was also rolled out to Canada (English speaking) and we now have 150 certified coaches in Canada. The programme is now being rolled out across many other countries.
Triumphs – this year we have launched our Exceptional Coach Programme which is rolling out to our global network. We believe coaching is a diversity valuer and inclusion catalyst and aligns with our global strategic drivers. Opportunities – to develop coaching for our growth regions around the world and in-country development for our larger firms. This provides us with an amazing opportunity to enhance our business advisors with coaching skills and to build a diverse and inclusive coaching culture. Embedding EIA into our EQA programme has accelerated our journey to coach in a creative way and one that acknowledges our fast-paced business environment.
