Bio

Professor Peter Hawkins is a Professor of Leadership and Change at Henley Business School, Visiting Professor University of Bath & Oxford Brookes University, Emeritus Chairman of Bath Consultancy Group, the Chairman of Renewal Associates, and a leading consultant, coach, writer and researcher in organisational strategy, leadership, and culture change. He is the Honorary President of both the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) and the Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS).

For the last 35 years he has been helping organisations in many parts of the world connect their strategic change, their organizational culture and their leadership development. Currently his major concern is the growing gap between the increasing and changing challenges for individual and collective leadership and how leadership development is failing to evolve at the same speed. He has helped several senior executive teams develop their vision, values and strategy for the future, both in commercial companies, finance, public sector, higher education, and large professional service organisations.

Peter has written extensively about leadership, leadership teams, coaching, and supervision. He is the author of several best-selling books including Leadership Team Coaching in Practice (2nd ed, Kogan Page, published June 2018); Leadership Team Coaching (Kogan Page, 3rd ed, July 2017); Coaching, Mentoring and Organisational Consultancy: Supervision, Skills and Development (with Nick Smith, McGraw-Hill/Open University Press, 2nd ed, 2013); Creating a Coaching Culture, (McGraw Hill, 2012); Supervision in the Helping Professions (McGraw Hill, 4th ed 2012, with Robin Shohet); and The Wise Fool’s Guide to Leadership (Oxford Books, 2005).
