Coaching in Islamic Culture (Ershad Coaching)

Session on 26 November 2019 11:00 UTC - View on timetable

Session

Ershad Coaching is an innovative and unique approach developed for use in Islamic cultural contexts. This methodology emerges from Islamic teachings and is designed to meet the needs of Muslims who wish to grow and flourish in ways that are aligned with their faith and traditions. The intention of this new methodology is to support coachees to think more effectively about their choices and make decisions that are aligned with their deeply-held beliefs and values. Coachees are invited to reflect on how their choices and decisions affect their relationships with their own belief, their sense of self, the Universe and important people in their lives.

In the dialogue at the Summit participants have an opportunity to be introduced to and learn about the ground-breaking Ershad Coaching Framework. The three components of the Framework will be presented: The Partnership Conditions required to demonstrate respect and a sense of trust; the Conversational Process that guides Ershad Coaching conversations; and the Alignment Wheel which is at the heart of the methodology.
