Impact evaluation provides information about the impacts produced by an intervention – positive and negative, intended and unintended, direct and indirect. Voices From the Field is the MCHub 2 year longitudinal mixed method mentoring impact evaluation study, exploring the impact of mentoring on key stakeholders. The study looks at how mentoring supports the personal and professional development of MSF Field Managers and contributes more broadly to the strategic priorities of the MCHub.
Wiet Vandormael is a humanitarian professional specialising in management, first response, and creative solutions. He is the Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Mentoring and Coaching Programme Manager in Belgium. Prior to his current role, Wiet was MSF Project Coordinator/Humanitarian Policy Advisor in Afghanistan.
Holly Bennett is the Evaluation and Capitalisation Manager of the Mentoring and Coaching Hub of Médecins Sans Frontières based in Norway. She is currently completing her Post Graduate certificate in Coaching and Mentoring at Sheffield Hallam University (UK). She is responsible for the creation of a routine process for the monitoring and evaluation of both Mentoring and Coaching activities, mapping existing network partnerships, and investigating new potential partnerships, locating know-how/innovation possibilities in the field of mentoring and coaching design, management, support to stakeholders, monitoring, and evaluation.
